The Department of Neurology and Ophthalmology prides itself on its vibrant faculty and dedicated staff who have been brought together from many different parts of the country with the goal of developing programs that benefit the people of Michigan and beyond.
The department features education and outreach programs and neurology and neuro-ophthalmology clinics. These programs and clinics are run by clinical and research faculty, many of whom have contributed to the department’s online research portfolio.
The ALS Center, is a collaborative initiative with the MSU College of Human Medicine, Saint Mary’s Health Care and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation hospital. The ALS Center is supported in part by the Muscular Dystrophy Association and provides high quality, comprehensive care for patients with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), supplying the resources needed to maintain freedom, and provide hope for the future through education and research.
